Draw 4.0 crashes changing 'Dots per Inch', saving TIFF
PROBLEM
The Solaris 2.x version of IslandDraw 4.0 (IPS 5.0.2a) crashes when attempting
to change the output resolution in the Save As dialog when saving as TIFF.
This crash occurs upon using Backspace or Delete in the "Dots per Inch"
field.
Other Save As weirdness:
-
Upon choosing Save As "Other format", the "Create .bak file" toggle
disappears, and the "Dots per Inch" field moves to the top of the
frame above the "Save As:" option menu. Changing "Save As" back to
IslandDraw, puts everything back where it should be.
-
On other OS's, such as SunOS and HPUX, the backspace and delete keys do
not work in the "Dots per Inch" field.
These problems have been logged as B#9805.
WORKAROUND
To save out a TIFF file in a higher resolution than the default 80 dpi,
do the following:
-
Choose File->Save As to bring up the Save As dialog,
-
Save As: Other format, File Format: 'TIFF'
-
Double-click in the 'Dots per Inch' field to select the default
setting of '80'.
-
Type the desired resolution.
-
Enter file name and press the save button.
